Gamers, the moment that Sony handheld gamers have been waiting for has arrived: Sony has announced the PlayStation Vita’s launch date.
The PlayStation Vita will launch February 22, 2012 in North America, Europe, and Latin America.
The Vita will retail for $249.99 (Wi-Fi only) and $299.99 (Wi-Fi + 3G) in the U.S., 249.99 in Canada (Wi-Fi only model, no details on 3G model), and 249.99 (Wi-Fi only) and 299.99 (Wi-Fi + 3G model) (RRP) in Europe. No pricing details were released for Latin America.
A USB cable, AC adaptor, and power cord come with the Vita. The 3G Model has a SIM card included inside the system.
No details about launch software, software pricing, or pricing for memory cards were released.
